Gloucester – 33MW embedded gas generation plant
In early 2017, Green Frog successfully commissioned its first gas-fired power plant supplied directly from the high-pressure Local Transmission Network (LTS).
The scheme, which is one of the first of its kind in the UK, involved the construction of a new HP welded steel pipeline. Combined with a bespoke pressure reduction/meter installation and downstream pipework infrastructure to supply the on-site gas-fired power generation plant.
Through the utilisation of in-house capabilities, knowledge and experience, GFGU were instrumental in successfully delivering this complex, multifaceted project – which was delivered both ahead of time and under budget.
